Class of 1943

Marietta Glenn Spencer(Note: Marietta passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005. Her obituary is on the Memorial Page.)

I graduated from V.H.S. in 1943. After taking and passing the teachers exam, which was all you needed at that time, I taught one year at Feeler school. In March 1944 I went to St. Louis and got a job at General Cable, a defense plant, as an inspector. I worked there until August 1945 when I came back to Maries County and taught one term at Paydown School. During the time I was employed at General Cable I married Alex Spencer. Alex was also from Maries County and was serving in the army. When he came home from overseas and was discharged from the service we moved to St. Louis, where I worked at various clerk-typist jobs and much of the time was "just a housewife". In 1965 we bought a house in St. Ann and I went to work as a supervisor in the women's accessory department at Famous Barr in Northwest Plaza.

In 1977 Alex retired from Alvey Conveyor and we moved back to Maries County near our families and build a house on 17 acres of land near Highway 63 and A. Alex suffered a stroke in 1991 and passed away in 1993. In 1995 I moved to an apartment in Vienna Homes in Vienna. I enjoy it here near relatives, friends and neighbors. We weren't lucky enough to have children of our own so we spoiled our nieces and nephews and now they are spoiling me. The past 61 years have flown by and for the most part they were good ones.

I started the upholstery department for the company and we made products that were distributed all over the United States, in Canada and some went to Japan. The company began buying the products from sources in China after setting up two factories in Shanghai, China. At the time I decided to retire as we were spending most time reworking and repairing the products made in China. I have worked seasonally for H & R Block since 1991. I worked days for Springfield Aluminum and nights and weekends for H & R Block until I retired from Springfield Aluminum in 2002, but have continued the seasonal work at H & R Block which I will continue to do as long as I continue to enjoy it, which I always have.

I moved to Maries County when I was 14 after my father died. After graduation, I attended college and served in the Air Force (Vietnam) finally ending up with a B.A. in English from Southwest Missouri State Teachers College in 1967. I had gotten married when I was in the Air Force, and we moved to Kansas City, where I went to work at the Bendix Kansas City Plant as a Technical Writer. In 1980, I couldn't take the Missouri summers anymore and moved to Albuquerque with my wife and two sons, where I worked at Sandia National Laboratories. In 1987, my wife decided her destiny lay elsewhere and divorced me. I married my present wife Judy in 2003. In 2005, I retired from Sandia as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff, and we moved to Maries County. I still consult to Sandia in advanced technology, especially energy technology. I still have top security clearances and travel to Washington, D.C. about once a month. Some of my consulting is done for the Department of Homeland Security and some for other agencies.

Lowell Tripp
After VHS, I worked my way thru UMR (Rolla) receiving a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. I subsequently attended the University of Pittsburgh and Catholic University (Washington DC), mostly in evening school, obtaining MS degrees in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. My career was primarily in Nuclear Engineering positions with the last 28+ years of full time work with the government (Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Department of Energy (DOE)). I retired at the end of 2001 from full time work from DOE's Savannah River Site as Director of the Engineering and Analysis Division. From 2001 until early 2007, I worked as least half time as a consultant. Most of my consulting was for western clients (Texas, New Mexico, Las Vegas, and Denver). Initially, I was able to do at least half of my work out of my home, but consulting was requiring increased travel as my work became more classified. Therefore, I have essentially given up consulting because of the travel. I was commissioned as an officer in the Army Reserves when I graduated from UMR in 1961. I subsequently served two years on active duty including a tour in Korea. I commanded various sized units in both Korea and Ft. Leonard Wood.

I married the former Jo Ann McCleskey from the Pittsburgh, PA area in 1965. We have two children: Lisa, a graduate of the University of Richmond with a double degree in Mathematics and Economics, and Brian, a graduate of Clemson University and the University of South Carolina, with BS and MS degrees in Enviromental/Civil Engineering. Lisa is an actuary for an insurance company and lives in Bethlehem, PA. Brian is a Vice President and Branch Manager of the Hickory, NC engineering office of his company. He lives in the Charlotte, NC area. Lisa is married and has a four year old daughter; Brian is engaged to be married in April of 2008.

My wife and I love to travel. I have been to 47 of 50 states (including Hawaii and Alaska) on business or recreational travel, and about 20 countries, including New Zealand and Australia. Earlier this year, we went on a two week cruise of the Mediterranean where we stopped at 10 ports in 5 countries. We are avid golfers and live on the 18th fairway of a country club in Aiken, South Carolina. We have access at no aditional cost to about 180 country club courses in the United States and Canada, so we frequently travel to and play other courses, particularly in Florida in the winter.

William Wilson
Sharon Baldwin and I were married July 4, 1958. We have three children, Toni Davis, Tami Helmig and Mitch Wilson. We also have 5 grandchildren, Darrick Davis, Kristina Davis, Darren Davis, Ashley Helmig and Bryan Wilson. I retired from Security Bank of Waynesville in January 2001. I have been busy restoring a 1940 H John Deere tractor. Will have it in the Maries County Parade in 2005. Also plan to restore a 1937 H John Deere tractor. We do a lot of camping and go to Bluegrass Festivals. Retirement is GREAT. I recommend it for everyone.

Class of 1958

John Crider
Although many years have passed since our High School days, many fun memories I remember. After High School I traveled back to Maryland and established residence. Shortly thereafter I enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Although at the time I was not aware that my career in life was beginning at that point. The Navy placed me in electronics training schools in Memphis, Tenn. for the best part of a year. After graduation I was assigned duty on the aircraft carrier USS-Essex (CVA-9). Actually I boarded her in the Mediterranean Sea and was assigned to a classified team. In early 1960 the team was transferred to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for special operations. The team was eventually split up and three of us ended up on the Destroyer USS Ingraham (DD-694) . The remainder of my Navy service was spent on her until my discharge separation in 1962. Shortly before my discharge I married Lois Ann Hurt of College Park, MD. After the Navy I was hired by the National Security Agency doing classified work once again for Uncle Sam, the only difference was I didn't have to wear a uniform and the pay was much better. My career with the NSA took me to many foreign soils, ie. England, Viet Nam, Japan and Australia. I was also assigned to a research station in Washington state for 8 years. I retired from the Agency on January 2, 1999. During my career, Ann and I were blessed with three wonderful children. Our oldest, David was born in August '62. He lives in Bellingham, Washington. Michael was born in '63 and he lives in RedHill, PA. Our daughter Yvette, was born 1969 while we were in England. She lives in New Oxford, PA. We have three grandchildren. The oldest is 13 and the youngest is 6.

Life after retirement has been very active for me. In February 2000, I was hired by the Dept. of Commerce to work on the Census. My job was in the Maryland Eastern Shore Headquarters. I supervised 30 folks in the Payroll Department. Our team was responsilbe for paying over 3000 enumerators doing the (real) work of the Census. Everyone was paid each week on Thursday through direct deposit to their local banks. What a way to find out all the ins and outs of payroll. What an experience!! This employment wrapped up in August 2000. In this job I met many wonderful folks who I remain to see in our community often.

After 9/11, In November 2001, The Department of Homeland Security (U.S. Air Force Branch) asked if I would be interested in a job with their unit. After an interview I was hired but it took until December 2002 for my background investigation and clearances to be completed. I began my employment with them as an Independent Contractor and remain there to this date -- Sept. 2006. The work is very rewarding, but someday I WILL have to hang it up. That folks, will be another tale. God Bless America and all of you.. John R.

Russell Hayes
After graduation I attended a technician course at The Missouri School of Mines (now UMR) for the Mo. Dept of Transportation. Went to work for the Department of Transportation in Jefferson City MO. I went back to school in the spring working toward a degree in Civil Engineering. After two years of schooling and working in between semesters for the Department Transportation, I married Georgena Stratman (a good home grown Vienna girl). Then came youngen's and back to work full time. I worked for a private Engineering and Surveying firm until 1969, when I accepted a job with Missouri Pacific Railroad (now Union Pacific). I worked there as a freight conductor until retirement in Jan. 2002.

Georgena and I have two children, Tracey and Greg, and six grandchildren, Lesley, Sarah and Russell Osborne - Cheznee, Marli and Riley Hayes. I have been enjoying my retirement spending time watching my grandchildren participate in sports and other school activities. My grandson Russell and I also have a little grass cutting business that keeps me busy. Since my retirement, we've traveled as far west as Colorado, as far east as New Hampshire and Florida and south to Dallas, TX.

During the winter months, I keep busy on my computer. I like working with pictures, as I have some 4,000 pictures on file in my computer at this time.

I like getting e-mail, so feel free to drop me a line.

Linda Minzes Beltz
I graduated from Vienna High School in May, 1958. I married Charley LeRoy Beltz on June 7, 1958. We moved to Springfield, MO in the summer of 1958, where Charley started to college at SMS. I started working at Greene County Welfare Office in August or September of that year and worked the 4 years Charley was in college. He was commissioned into the Army as a First Lieutenant upon graduation in 1962. We were stationed in Aberdeen, Maryland until November 1962. Charley went to Germany in November 1962, and I followed in January 1963. We came home in the summer of 1964. Charley got a job teaching Mathematics in Parkway Central High School in the fall of 1964. I worked at Parkway Central Junior High School Store for about 4 years, worked at Lighthouse Bookstore for about 4 years, and spent a lot of time keeping up our home, lawn and garden. I had bought 80 acres of my Grandparents' farm from my dad, we bought Angus cattle, and we spent most weekends working at the farm. My Mother passed away in 1968 and my Dad in 1979. We then bought the farm where I was born and raised, 239 acres, and continued to run the farm on weekends and in the summer. We had a new house built on the farm in 1995. Charley retired from teaching in June 1996, where he taught for 32 years in the same school. We never had children. We moved to the farm in June 1996. We enjoyed being on the farm and in the Hayden Community. Charley had a lot of health problems, but had a good outlook and kept working on the farm and doing the things he liked to do, until February 2004 we sold our cattle to make life easier. He lost the battle with his second round of cancer and passed away in November 2004. I love the farm and the people of the Hayden Community and am staying on the farm.

After leaving Vienna High I found myself in the big world and wondering if I could make something of myself, thereby overcoming my total lack of promise in high school. I thought I would try college and bounced around a little in that effort: A school in Mexico, what is now Missouri State University, then University of Missouri. After nearly flunking out, I must have gotten my legs under me and I graduated with a BA in 1964. I then entered the Navy and spent four years as an intelligence officer. The GI bill allowed me to go back to school (Colorado State U, and U. of MO) where I procured a BS and MS in Animal Science.

I worked for a time in the Extension Service in Colorado and then came to St. Louis as an editor for an agricultural publisher. Two kids arrived, and after a few years my marriage failed. I then rediscovered an old acquaintance from high school, Kathy Howard, Doc Howard's daughter. We were married and somehow make the unlikely transition back to Maries County. We now operate Rock Eddy Bluff Farm, an Ozark retreat, located on the Gasconade River near Hayden. www.rockeddy.com

Kathy and I love living here, especially on this beautiful fall day. We do quite a bit of traveling, reasoning that this should be done before we get old and
feeble. We have one grandchild, with another currently on the way. We do not consider ourselves retired, as we stay quite busy with our business. Our hope is to grow old gracefully. 10/2005

Georgena Stratman Hayes
After graduation I immediately went to work because I knew money was the thing to have. I worked for the National Guard for a year, married Russ Hayes, and went to work for Beneficial Finance at Waynesville while Russ attended UMR. During this time I became pregnant with our daughter, Tracey. After Russ quit UMR, we moved to Jefferson City and I worked for MODOT for one year until I became pregnant with our son, Greg. At that time in history, MODOT did not allow pregnant women to work after they looked pregnant (or even hold their position for them).

After Greg was born, I worked for Missouri Conservation Department for two years and then went to work for Chesebrough-Pond's as the Accounting Secretary and I stayed with that company for 32 years. When computers came into use, I was moved into the Cost Accounting Section. I've always been very glad to have worked for a large manufacturing company and to see what their accounting practices are. I was fortunate enough to retire in 1999.

Russ and I have six grandchildren and are very fortunate to have them live in Jefferson City so we can enjoy their sports events, schooling, and watch them grow up.

After Russ retired, we traveled as far east as New Hampshire and Florida and as far west as Colorado, South to Dallas, TX and all states in between. We live in a very beautiful country. We take short trips around the State of Missouri. Some of my classmates and I get together twice a year for lunch to talk over old times and keep up with what is going on with everyone.

I'm so glad to have this website - thank you.

Linda Burd Spillars
After graduation, I went to work in Jefferson City for the Division of Health. While working there, I met and married Elmer Spillars. He was from the Jefferson City area. We moved to Mexico, Missouri shortly after the birth of our son, Brian. Our daughter, Dalynn, was born 3 years later. Elmer worked at AP Greens in Mexico until we purchased the newspaper business and for the next 17 years we owned and operated Spillars News Service. We were able to work from our home so I was also a "stay at home Mom", which I loved. Unfortunatly the St. Louis Globe Democrat closed their doors so we had to find other employment. Elmer started driving for ABF Freight System in 1987 and in 1986 I started working for State Farm Insurance Companies in Columbia, MO.

We now live near Atlanta, IL and I work in Bloomington, Illinois at the company headquarters as an executive secretary to one of the vice presidents. Elmer is still driving for ABF in Chicago. Our son, Brian, is vice president/general manager of the Collision Center of Columbia in Columbia, MO. He has two daughters. Lindsay is in her senior year of college at Columbia College and Stephanie is in her senior year of high school in Mexico.

We plan to return to Maries County as soon as we retire.

Our daughter, Dalynn, lives in St. Louis and works at Nestle' Purina as a director.

After graduating high school at Vienna, I attained my bachelor's degree at Lincoln University. The same week I graduated from Lincoln, Dale and I were married. Our first home was in St Louis since Dale was with the highway patrol and assigned to that area. We lived there for 26 years until he was assigned to headquarters in Jefferson City.

While we were in St Louis, I worked for Famous-Barr as an assistant buyer and Rockwood School District as a Writing to Read Specialist. I currently work for Department of Natural Resources as a Document Distribution Supervisor.

Dale and I have two children. Nicole teaches biology, anatomy and physiology in Hermann and Erik works for Frito-Lay at Lake of the Ozarks.

I am a member of Immaculata Club at Immaculate Conception Church, Show-Me Precious Moments Club and Simply Stampin' Club. Much of my spare time is spent doing volunteer work, crafting, reading and stamping.

I feel fortunate to have grown up in Vienna with two strong and generous parents and seven lively siblings.

I graduated from VHS 40 years ago. Currently I am married, have a 16 year old and am a psychologist. I live in a suburb of Kansas City, and enjoy my personal and professional lives immensely! I do get down to the Vienna ares several times a year, and always enjoy my return to the area.

I remember my HS years with great fondness, and feel lucky that I went to a small school whereyou got to know everyone--versus my so who has 600 in his class, and only knows a few people.

The three decade reunion this year was outstanding because I got to see people in classes close in proximaty to my class (65) that I hadn't seen in 40 and over years.

Sonny and I have three children. Byron is married and lives in Nashville, TN and they have one son. Chris is married and lives in Belle, MO and they have four children. Angie is married and lives in Jefferson City and they have three children.

I left Vienna in 1966 and basically never returned. Upon graduation I attended Capital Business College in Jefferson City. After graduating from there I worked as a secretary at the University of Missouri for one year. I then went to Ambassador University in Texas graduating from there in 1972. I returned to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, to get married to a wonderful person, Alan, who I have been married to for 33 years. He and I just recently retired after having worked for School of the Osage for many years. Alan was there for 35 years as a teacher and librarian. I worked there for 30 years. Most of that time I was the Payroll and Benefits Administrator for the school district. We have now entered a new chapter of our lives. We are looking forward to experiencing retirement. So far it has been wonderful!

Class of 1967

Mary Jane Dambach Roberson
My sister Sarah Ann (passed away February 9, 1977) & myself went to Terry School (just off 28 Hwy), then Bell School (near Hayden) until they consolidated and we were bussed to Vienna Public School, where my first look at inside plumbing was "so cool". I remember the girls restroom at VPS being near or close by, the bottom of the stairs. I vividly recall the old creaky stained wooden floors and stairwell in the building too, and how Joe Rudroff (msp) must have spent many hours keeping them buffed. I also remember the "spanking boards" (not that I ever had one used on me) and having to write on the blackboard 25 times -- "I will not chew gum in school!"

We moved out of the area in the summer of 1963, so I didn't graduate with the class of '67 from VHS.

In my Freshman year of 1963, I attended Richland High School, Richland, MO. In the summer of '64, we moved once again when my parents bought a house near Dixon, and there I finished school, graduating in 1967.

The teachers at VPS were great and from each one I learned a great deal, mainly to sit down, shut up and speak when spoken to. *snickers* As I loved to "doodle", I enrolled in an art school out of State, but quickly grew tired of the humdrum, and wanting to explore "reality" a little closer to home.

I begin work at my parents restaurant in Dixon, MO and was consumed with a great deal of REALITY. I was employed at Quaker Window Products (paint shop) in Freeburg and then with the State of Missouri (Motor Vehicle Dept.) in Jefferson City, for 5 years.

I married Bill D. Roberson (son of Kenneth (Monroe) & Mildred (Rowden) Roberson) of Dixon, on July 1, 1978.

Later that same year I decided the drive to Jeff was too much, so I quit begin work as an office manager for a local sanitation dept. I worked there even until our son Dennis was born in the fall of '79 and then went back, and worked for a year after our son Christopher was born in '84. We moved from the Dixon area to a farm outside of Newburg in August of 1987. That same month & year, my dad (Norman) passed away, having been ill for some time, after being diagnosed with cancer. My mom moved to Columbia with my little sister Joyce (Dambach) Wiseman, Dailey, where she resides today.

I begin doing Sales & Supervisor work for a major toy company in 1986, where I won an all expense paid round-trip to Hawaii (Honolulu & Maui) for my dedication & hard work. I worked for the toy company for several years and then moved to Ohio where I went through nursing school in Cincinnati (Bethesda Base) for 2 years. Moving back to Missouri, I worked in Rolla as a CNA, then later at Maries Manor as a CNA and Activity Director.

Bill & I have 4 children: (Bill's 2 children from his first marriage -- Jennifer & Paul), and our 2 children -- Dennis & Christopher. We have 6 beautiful grandchildren: Jennifer has a boy & girl, Paul has a boy and they all live in the State of Colorado. Dennis (our son) & Elizabeth have 2 girls & 1 boy, they live in Rolla. Chris is single and lives in Columbia, where he visits dad & mom occasionally. You know that old saying... "there's no place like home".

We set up a beautiful double-wide near the Seaton Church outside of Dixon in 2004, where we currently reside. Bill works for a big trucking company out of Illinois, he's been with them for 28 years, never missing a day until he had a major heart attack in 2003. He's slowed down a bit now, but then haven't we all? I am a Graphic Artist which I enjoy immensely, not only creating individual web graphics, but designing web pages and complete web sites.

I'd like to extend a big hello & howdy to the class of '67 from the "good old days" at Vienna Public School. There we seemed to line up for everything from getting free milk & jucie, to vaccinations. Ah yes... the good ole days! Drop me a line sometime, I'd love to hear how y'all are doing!

This is great! I hope more of you will register so I can catch up. I graduated from MU in 1970 with a degree in Math Education (did my student teaching in Vienna), moved to St. Louis and taught at Oakville Sr High and Meramec Community College for 11 years, moved to Branson, MO in 1983 and taught at Branson High School for 19 years and Ozark Technical College for 2 years. I have now retired and it's wonderful.

I am still happily married to Rick (31 years). We have one daughter, Rachel, and one son-in-law Ken. They were married in March of 2004 so we have no grandkids yet. Rachel did what I wasn't brave enough to do and went to Rolla where she got a bachelor's and master's in Civil Engineering. She also met Ken there (he is a mechanical engineer). They live in St. Charles, MO. If you come to Branson, give me a call. I'm the only Schiller in the phone book.

William (Billy) Robertson
After graduating in '67, attended Linn Tech. Went to work for McDonnel Douglas for 16 months. Then Uncle Sam wanted some of my precious time. Spent 2 years in the Army, 1 of those in Viet Nam. Spent next 6 months catching up on good times, you know, then ran out of money. Worked in Rolla doing factory work, not my cup of tea. Left the Vienna/Dixon area for the bright lights of St. Louis again. Joined the carpenters union and look forward to retirement in Jan. of '05.

Now for a little fill in: Have 4 children ( Leslie, Jeremy, John, & Steven), 3 grandkids ( Nick, Emily, Sutton, &1 on the way), Lovely wife of 25 years (she's watching me type this so I will be kind. HeHeHeHe. Denise )

I still think about many of my classmates and wonder how their lives are progressing.
Would like to hear from any of you.

Cheryl Seaton Barnhart
Just discovered the web site. It's great. I married Shelby Barnhart, of our class in 1969. Finished college in Southern Illinois University as a Physical Education teacher (recess). But I never did much teaching. Got caught up in the Social Services field and found I wanted to help people and families. I have been working for the state of Missouri for 20 years now as a Child Abuse Investigator. Could retire soon but not sure I will. I am always looking for things to do, new things to experience. Shelby and I have been married 35 years now and have two kids, Stacy and Curtis. One son in law and a BEAUTIFUL grandaughter age 2. They are all in KC area too. We have been around the country, Kansas,Wisconsin, Nebraska, and southern Missouri, now Kansas City and we like it here. We are pastoring a church here. Would love to hear from you.

After graduating from Maries R-1 in 1968, I attended MU then moved to the Kansas City area where I have been ever since. My husband and I have worked in all areas of real estate for 27 years. We have developed land, built homes, and sold homes and are still doing so. I opened my real estate brokerage company last year and now work from home. My twin daughters, Melanee and Lynley, have grown up to be outstanding young women and my proudest accomplishment. We are looking forward to the retirement years but can't believe I am old enough to even be thinking about it!

We had a son in 1991, Kenton Adam. In 1998 I gave up the corporate world to be a stay-at-home dad. Times may change but we all stay the same, I have not changed very much at all. Yes, we do all change and so have I, live goes on and it is best to just live it one day at a time.

I am currently working for a non-profit organization and keeping quite busy all the time. Not a lot of time for anything but we must take a minute here and there for a friend or two. Best wishes to the Maries R-1 Schools and all the classmates enrolled there.

Donald Weidinger
After 2 at USAFA and 2 at UMR, I earned an official BS*1...and continue to hone my BS*2 skills. I remain in the building business, and have domiciled in MI, KS, IL, NC, MO, MA, MO, CA and CO...and now know that it is the BS*3 which makes the grass appear greener on the other side of the fence, or state line. I continue contributions to many a county traffic fund, and find my roots in Vienna have made for interesting dialogue--so interesting that 'warning's are routinely given me...possibly because I retain a habit of being really friendly while in the spotlight between the two cars...I loved acting on-stage at VHS too! and Dad taught me to be friendly and outgoing. I gaze at the windshield for thousands of miles a month, traveling the rural countryside of CO, NE and TX; finding the people wonderfully similar to those of Vienna. I don't stay in RV parks, and speculate those people are 'hard to please' as they never seem to stay in one spot (they've got the 'grass is greener' itis)...I ponder this as I age and wonder if this is my inevitable destiny...to wonder the roads, looking for better BS*4 I conclude with the adage, if you recognize a perceived fault in others--you are likely inflicted (guilty) of the same fault...therefore I work to convert BS*5 into fertilizer.

*BS usage (in order):
1. A Bachelor of Science degree from an Engineering University;

2. I suggest the opposite of Webster's #2 definition of bullshit and nonsense, i.e. trifle. The opposite usage I suggest is in fact the perception of value which moves a person to act (sales)...if you can lead (or attract) a horse to water and convince it to drink...it is a moving experience...and water is a good percentage of manure;

3. Manure as fertilizer and a growth by-product (something that comes with age?);

4. Again, fertilizer as a substance which makes things more fertile, not to be confused with a condition of animals 'in-heat' or another favorite saying
'in-season';

5. Again, a stimulant that can improve a physical condition, not to be confused with the occasional antics of certain politicians who confuse reality and factual history with a stated view that is inaccurate and may reflect uniquely what is perceived the crowd of listeners wish to hear--yet the listener knows and understands it to be untrue--momentarily stupified by rash nonsensical statements--which are bullshit in its truest form. Again, the usage here is intended to be of the fetilizer and growth enhancement definition, such as leaning-which is the art of taking an occassional improvement
and making it a part of your everyday behavior, and love which is improving the human condition of others. (i had to finish with something about learning, as this is a school site).

And the 'rest of the story' is, you can take a little BS and improve yourself, after which you can use your improvements to enhance the lives of others...

Out of high school, I went to work for the state. In 1979, I chose to work for the US Postal Dept. as a letter carrier for 18 years, until I was in a terrible car accident and ended up retiring at the age of 40. I was married to a guy that had 2 young sons, 4 years old and 18 months, a package deal. I raised the boys until my car accident and now they are grown, 23 and 26 years old. Now I am working on the farm with my parents, raising cattle, horses and dogs and just being a farm girl and loving it. It's been good therapy for the major accident that I survived. Now I am single and enjoying life. My youngest son and I love floating and camping which we try to do often in the summer.

Vickie Carter Wintrich
As of May 27, 2005, Glenn C. Wintrich, Jr. and I have been married for five years. He is the most wonderful man I have ever met. Glenn treats me with great respect and like a queen. Between us we have six children. My two children, Melissa Sue (Figg) Sellars and Lucas Richard Figg. His four are Samantha Wintrich, Glenn C. Wintrich, III, Paul Gerber (step-son from a previous marriage) and David Wintrich (who is a Senior in High School this year-need I say more?).

Of course, this means we have grandchildren, too. Currently we have three four grandsons and three granddaughters between the two of us. Melissa has been married for 10 years to Stan Sellars and has Colin, 10; Phillip, 6; Sheldon, 4; and Julia who is almost three. Lucas who is engaged to Celeste and is getting married September 3, 2005 has one son, Jacob who is five. Glenn the III has two daughters, Emma who is 16 months old and Elizabeth who is one month old.

Currently I am the Process Prime for implementing SAP at Nortel in Richardson, Texas. I have been working for Nortel for the last five years. Glenn has been working at EDS (Electronic Data Systems) for the past ten years. (Glenn and I met when I worked at EDS five years ago. We met, dated six months, got married, bought a new house and I started a new job all within seven months -- talk about change.) We are both very blessed to be employed even after all the layoffs in the Telecommunications Industry.

In June 2005, I did the 3-day Breast Cancer Event in Dallas, Texas. This event is where you raise funds and then walk 60 miles in three days to show your support for "finding a cure" for breast cancer. As of March 4, 2005, I have been in remission from Breast Cancer for seven years. I Praise God that I am here to enjoy life with my family and friends.

My family is celebrating our parent's 50th wedding anniversary the weekend of July 16th, so I will not be attending the 30 year class reunion the next weekend, but I will be thinking of you all and hoping you have a great time.

Martha Rowe Reeves
Although I never graduated with my class, I quit (dirty word) school in my 10th year. My life to this point has been full of many satisfying events. I started working at Langenberg Hat Company shortly after I quit school. Worked there 18 yrs, going from peione to Team Leader of production when it changed over to Top This, Inc. Within this time frame I got my Ged and took an Accounting course. June 20, 1973 I married John Reeves (son of Howard & Caroline Reeves). Anthony(Tony) works for the Lemberger Company/Vienna and lives in Hayden, Mo. He is married to Lacy (Crowson from Fulton, Mo.), they have two sons Devin (4) and Mason (2). I then worked for Scholastic, Inc/JC for 8 yrs, 4 of those years in the warehouse as an Inventory Control Clerk 2. Leaving there in 2000. Worked a short time for DOR/JC during the tax season and also Mobile/Vienna then in 2001 went to work for Mo Dept of Health/JC as an Acct. Clerk 2. in the fee receipts office. We collect and process all the monies owed to DHSS. I have a great husband, sons, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. We have always lived in Vienna, 10 yrs ago we bought the property of Charles And Kathreen Hayes of Hayden, Mo. Known for The Hayden Store/Gas Station, Post Office and everything Hayden. This is in Maries County although we have a Dixon address and phone #. I tease John that he is Mayor of Hayden and should do something about all the speeding through our town. There is only our house and one other home in the city limits. Johns hobbys are endless; woodworking, crafts, painting(Bob Ross method), motorcycling. My hobbies are sewing, grandkids, music, motorcycling. That is the long and short of it, be safe. I attended the 25 class reunion. Got to see and talk with some of the classmates that I hadn't seen for years. Connie Feeler Elrods' Home was beautiful and Mrs Lensenbart Honse was the honorable teacher there. Sorry teach spelling never was my strong point. 30 year reunion is right around the corner, hope to see you there.

Denise Wagner Branch or branchmd@yahoo.com
After graduation in May 1978 I went to work for Captial Region Medical Center(Still Hospital at that time) for 6 years as a nurse's aide.I then left there to take a day job at Quaker Window where I stayed there for 3 years before returning back to the hospital. I have been at the hospital this time for 16 years. I have worked there as a nurse aide on all the floors at one time or another,a certified home health aide for 12 years and am presently working in radiology as a transporter/secretary.

I was married the first time for 3 years and had a son Martin. I got remarried and have been married 18 years to Marcus Branch. We have two children Stacey and Brandon. Martin was born Nov. 21, 1981 and lives in Dixon. He graduated from Maries R-1 in 2000. He joined the National Guard and is now working for a construction company in Dixon. Stacey was born on Sept. 26, 1986. She is a junior at Maries R-1 and has been on the B honor Roll since the 7th grade. She played softball during the summer, played the clarinet in the band for 2 years and was a cheerleader for 3 years. Brandon was born on Sept. 4, 1991 and is in the 7th grade at Maries R-1. He plays soccer, baseball, and basketball. He loves to hunt and play his sports.

My favorite things to do is going camping, fishing, and doing things with my family. I love to go to see Brandon play his sports and am looking forward to him being on the teams for Maries R-1. In 1998 I was diagnosed with cancer. I had radiation and chemo treatments. I am doing fine now. I am a member at the First Baptist Church in Vienna and serve on several committees there. Having cancer has made me a better person. I now have a better understanding of what it is like to be a patient in the hospital and I feel that this experience has helped me be a better caregiver. Also having had cancer I respect life a lot more. NEVER take your health for granted. Without the love and support I have from my family and friends and also my relationship with God I would not have been able to deal with the cancer and all the other daily struggles I continue to have. I love my life and everything it has to offer. Every day is a good day. Some are just better then others.

I have come a long way since graduation. I am not as quiet as I was before. I have learned to speak up and out about what I believe in and I am learning how to use the computer. I have a lot to learn but I have learned a lot from my children.

Since graduation I've been around the world and back again! When you compare Vienna with the rest of the world, there truly is "no place like home." I am currently married to Larry Bailey and we have a 4 year old daughter Jaci who is the light of our lives. For the past 10 years I have been teaching 3rd grade at Maries R-1 and have enjoyed every minute of it. When I graduated I never thought about becoming a teacher. Isn't it amazing the way life works out.

Susan Hayes Brunnert
After graduating from High School I attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City Missouri and obtained a degree in Computer Science. For 24 years I worked for The Lemberger Company right here in Vienna Mo. The company sold software to Missouri School Districts and employed as many as 18 people at one time. I was the Product Manager and programmer for the Accounting and Payroll Software Division. In addition to programming, I did phone support, training, workshops and wrote instruction manuals. In July of 2006, The Lemberger Company was bought out by Software Technology Inc (STI). STI kept the business at the same location so I am still working in Vienna doing the same thing I have been doing for the past 25 years.

I married my high school sweetheart, Mark Brunnert, on June 13, 1987 after dating for 10 years. Mark is employed at Weidinger Chevrolet as a Salesman. He loves to hunt, fish and play golf. He has tried to get me to play golf with him but the game moves way to slow for me!

We have one daughter, Kelcie Ryanne, who was born July 11, 1994. She is currently in the 8th grade at Maries R-I and is officially a teenager. She enjoys playing basketball and running track at school. During the summer she plays competitive fastpitch softball on a team in Jefferson City. We keep the road hot between Vienna and Jeff during this time. She also likes to fish and hunt and actually bagged her first deer at the early age of 9.

We are very fortunate to have our immediate family so close. Both of our parents still live in Vienna and many of our siblings are in the area. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends.

Miss people I went to school with and don't see them vary rarely. Those I do see I don't always recognize. I am in my second marriage for 10 years, he is
currently in Iraq. My first husband/boys father died this past February with cancer which was very difficult for the family and yes myself because we still remained very close. I currently work for the state as a Social Services Manager. I have been with the state approximately 18 years. Although I wasn't able to graduate with the rest of you I did manage to go back and get my GED just about the same time you all graduated. I have worked very hard to get the position I have now and am happy in the work I do. I have 5 staff that I oversee who write the policy and state regulations based on changes that either the Governor signs or if it is new legislation coming to us from the Federal Government. I also apply for grants to bring money into the state for various pilot programs or projects. Very challenging these days since so much is changes. Have been able to do traveling throughout the US on various conferences, also interesting. I have 4 sons ans 2 stepsons, Nick, Curt, Kelly and Brandon Pendleton and Brandon and Tyler Ousley. I have 3 granddaughers, Trinity, MacKenzie, and Chasity and another baby on the way. We love family get togethers, holidays barbeques, pool parties. We just finished up with all the traveling soccer with our kids now it won't be long that we will be doing it all over again with the grandkids, that's what life is all about. I find the other stories interesting and also find it interesting the amount of children who have graduated of my our own classmates. I guess that says were getting older. Naaa better.

Laurie Ashley Sorey
Hello everyone! Wow it has been too many years since I have seen alot of you! After graduation I went to work! Then I began a career in music which I enjoyed for alot of years! I started out in a few smaller bands and then went on to cheyenne where I stayed with them for almost ten years! (never had to play bars in which I was pleased!)Married and divorced in my early twenties! (won't go there) Bought the restaurant there in Vienna at the cattle barn! Was still singing while running the restaurant called it my time of working eight days a week! haha! Loved it all though! My music began becoming more and more demanding and eventually moved to Westphalia missouri where I married Joe Bocklage! I was working in Jefferson City at Maytag and still singing on the weekends! I came down with health problems around that time and had to quit my job at Maytag and stay at home! I was in a wheelchair for about a year and had to learn to walk again! I continued to sing on weekends though! After I somewhat got better I was called by a producer that had seen me in a show at the Lake of the Ozarks and he took me to Nashville where I was finding myself getting my hair done by a gay hairdresser that does Faith Hill's and others hair and taken to a meeting with several of the largest record companies where I was asked to sign on with Liberty records! But I decided in the end not to go that route because of my health and felt that I needed to go with a smaller company and signed with Blue Mystery Mountain Label! I wrote alot of my own songs and recorded others music too and found myself in a studio with some of the biggest studio musicians in Nashville (such as Garth Brooks drummer, Garth Brooks'bass guitarist a steel player that plays on most of the biggies albums and such! It was a very exciting time in my life and one I won't ever forget! I put out two albums with them and also sang in Branson and performed all over the country! Had a few on the radio! Then during the recording of my second album discovered that Joe and I were finally going to have our first child! I stayed home while pregnant and had a beautiful daughter named Lindsey!(now ten years old) After she was born I was once again stricken with more health problems and decided that she was the most important thing in my life and I didn't want to be away from her and Joe so only performed certain times of the year traveling with several different artist and began writing and singing in my church in Jefferson city! Joe and I were married ten years and I believe the toll of health problems took us both down and we divorced! I since have moved to Springfield, Mo. where I live now with my daughter who attends New Covenant Academy Christian school! She is my pride and joy! She is into everything she can be! Makes straight A's, plays piano, violin and some guitar! She is a competitive cheerleader here and along with her team have taken first in Nationals two times! She has taken a first in piano at state two times and is going again this year! She sings in a special singing group in the spring and fall and has performed at the Little Theater here in Springfield! (enough about my daughter I could go on forever!) haha! I am lucky to have a met and married a man that has lived in Springfield all his life and now have two step daughters one 18 and ready to graduate this year and the other 13 and learning that she has a mouth! haha! They are beautiful as well! I no longer sing, though I do write some yet and demo them for other artist, I no longer perform! I went to school and managed an Insurance office here for about a year then became very ill for about a month and found out last may that I had water surrounding my heart and had to have a hole cut into the sack to save my life at the time, spent 10 days in the hospital and am still having reacurring attacks, though the water now can drain out it takes a bit and my heart stays enlarged, I spend alot of time healing! So I stay at home and only volunteer at my daughters school once a week now tutoring children with reading! I enjoy life though watching her grow and seeing life as a precious gift given to us! I will enjoy what I might or might not have left and would love to attend my twenty fifth reunion but unfortunatly will not be able to due to health! My thoughts go out alot to all of my friends from my years in Vienna and surrounding area. I think of them as probably some of the best! May God Bless all of you and keep you healthy and happy as you raise your own families! Give me a call if you like I would love to hear from all of you!

As my classmates know I was born and raised in Vienna Missouri. I continue to reside here with classmate and husband Randy Swyers. We have 2 children, Nathan, born December 1988 and Michael, born February 1991. I work for The Lemberger Company, a Vienna based company that sells software to Missouri school districts. I am the product manager and programmer for our Student software that tracks attendance, grades, discipline and lunch accounts for students. Randy works for Johnson Controls in Jefferson City and still enjoys football, baseball and basketball, although now he is watching from the sidelines instead of playing. We both enjoy attending our childrens' athletic events and look forward to the coming high school years of our children.

After spending 15 years working for the State of Missouri in Jefferson City, I got the opportunity to work close to home and took it. I've been at First Community National Bank in Vienna for almost five years. Jeff and I have been married since 1982 and have three wonderful daughters. Kacey is 19 and is attending Lincoln
University on a very generous academic scholarship. Hayley is 16 and is a Sophomore at Maries R-1, and Molly, 12, is in Sixth Grade. They keep us busy with basketball, softball, band, and all their other activities, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Jr and I got married 2 days before graduation in 1982. I've worked for the State of MO since October of 1982 and look forward to retiring in 9 years. We have one son, Adam, who is now a Senior at Dixon High School and still doesn't know what he wants to do when he grows up! I am NOT at all ready to go through the "empty nest syndrome" but know it is an inevitable part of life.

Rhonda Eads Turner
I married Rick Turner from Vichy, MO on June 13, 1981 and we are still together after 26 years of marriage. We moved away from Vienna shortly after being married as Rick went into the Army. Of course, I went with him on his travels. After 3 years of service life, we returned to Columbia, Missouri to start a family. After a couple of years in Columbia, we moved to a small-town named Ashland to raise our daughter and have been there ever since. We have one Daughter wand her name is Amanda. She graduated from Ashland High School in 2004 and our first grandson is due November 4, 2007. She was a handful through her high school years, but has successfully calmed down and works as a dental assistant in Columbia. My 4 sisters live in Ashland too! I have one brother named John Eads. He lives in the Kansas City Area. I have 21 nieces and nephews and our family is very close. I work for the University of Missouri as an Executive Assistant and have been employed with them for quite some time. I have truly been blessed.

I am currently living in Ozark-about 6 miles south of Springfield, Missouri. Our class just had our 25 year class reunion last weekend and it was great to see everyone. Its hard to believe how the time has flown by. I attended Northeast Mo. State University and got my bachelors degree in nursing. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of nursing positions. I loved working in the emergency room. It was exciting every day--heart breaking at times. I have also worked in pediatrics, adult med/surg., home health, and even taught other RN's in a school of nursing. Currently, I am the director of nursing at a long term care facility and supervise over 60 other nursing staff. Every day is challenging and rewarding. Im glad to have chosen nursing as a career. I have one daughter who just graduated from high school and will be going to Missouri State University in Springfield. She wants to major in pre-med and hopefully be a doctor some day. I enjoyed by school years at Maries R-1 and would love to hear from any of my old friends!

After graduation I was in a terrible accident and broke both my legs I was three months pregnant. I married Kenneth Bert Bourbon he and my mother helped me learn how to walk again. One year later my mother died suddenly. I had two beautiful sons Robert and Joshua Bourbon. I divorced after 11 years of marriage and took back my maiden name. I babysat dozens of other kids through the years and still see many of the kids now grown and married with kids of their own. I finnally went to college and have an Associates Degree in Legal Office. I found out without experience I couldn't make much money in a lawyers office. I became a collections manager for a newspaper. From there I went to a trucking company and was a broker for excess loads the company had which was very interesting when I sent a load or picked one up from the various charcoal kilns around Vienna. Brokering truckloads was a very highly stressful job but, paid me very good and I was able to support my sons with no help from the state or child support. I am now an administrative assistant for BakerCorp and love my job. My oldest son Robert gave me a grandson Dillian Michael Bourbon but he was born with some problems and died 5 months later. My son Robert graduated from Ranken Technical School and is a machinist for Planet Tool and Die in St Charles, MO. He is planning on getting married to his fiance Tricia Kelly and they have given me a most beautiful grandson Logan Anthony Bourbon who will be 1 year old in July. My son Joshua has been a handful since he was born. He likes to do everything the hard way thinking things will get easier. He and his girlfriend Samantha Dugan are going to have my granddaughter in October which I am looking forward to very much. Its much easier being a grandmother than a mother. I live alone or with my father when he isn't in Florida or another country. I have had a companion for the last 14 years Michael Dean Short who helped me very much raising my sons. We taught the boys how to hunt, fish, and work. Maybe we will get married someday. After 25 years my legs are starting to bother me quite a bit and I have had to go back for some work on them, though I feel very blessed that they have worked well for me for the last 25, now if I could just get another 25 out of them so I can keep up with grandkids I will be a very happy person.

Robin Crider DeVilbiss
We'll just skip all the junk like getting married, divorced, moving, working mundane jobs and moving back. Fastforward to 1995. I met and married Samuel DeVilbiss (actually I MET him in 1992) and we have one son, Logan Samuel, who is now 9 years old. Sam is from Louisiana and absolutely the best husband and daddy. He is very family oriented. We bought a house in Vienna in 1997 and lost it to fire in February, 2002. We are currently building, and I mean WE ARE BUILDING, a new home on the same property. If you come through Vienna, you can't miss it. It's right on 63 going north-tall house, cedar siding, red roof! We hope to be moved in sometime this February. God has been so good to us through it all. We were offered the house we are staying in now the same day of the fire and it's right across the street! I just walk over and work on the new one!

I became a stay at home mom in 1997 and really thought that meant I got to stay home. Sam has been employed with Von Hoffmann Press in Jefferson City since 1995. He also does leather crafting and has made wallets and such for people all over. Logan attends Vienna Christian Life Academy where he is in the fifth grade. He's so smart it's scary! He's all boy- Hotwheels, GI Joes, Spiderman, hunting and fishing. I am at the school most mornings to give the kid's their tests and all day on Wednesday. I love it. I'm also an Independant Designer for Home and Garden Party, which I also love.

I love living in Vienna. It's nice to go to the store and see people you grew up with. I've been all over the country and there is nothing like coming home. Drop me a line, or stop in sometime.

Sara Deaton Crossgrove
I married my BEST FRIEND 4 years after graduation, so we'll start there...........I have been married to David for 16 years (this Sept. 3rd) We lived in Moberly for a couple of years and then took a huge leap of faith and moved to VERY north Missouri, to buy his grandfather's (family) farm. It was very scary at first, but I know now we are right where we are supposed to be.

Our first few years were very tough, with the "floods of '93" and then the "drought of 94". After a few years of farming alone, we decided we weren't going to make it. Just at the same time we decided this, Ortech (a company in Kirksville, connected with Orscheln-where David worked in Moberly) called at the recommendation of David's old boss and were planning to start a Design Dept. and wondered if he was interested! (Never underestimate the power of prayer!) So, although we were not able to stay farmer and wife, we did stay on the farm and purchased it(480 acres). We just don't have any of the work or worry! We lease our pasture and hay ground and cash rent our bottom ground and just ENJOY!! David has been with ortech 9 years now. We built a house on the farm in '97. I worked at school for 5 years as a Para-educator (in between our 2nd and 3rd child) and then stayed home again after she was born. I have her home one more year! It's gone too fast! David and I are both very active in church. I direct our children's choir, David directs our High School choir "God's Squad", we co-teach Middle School Bible Study on Wed. nights and David serves as a Deacon. So that takes up lots of our time. We also coach our son's baseball team and our little girl's T-ball team. No wonder I'm exhausted!

We have 3 wonderful (most of the time) children. Erin is 13 (and probably taller than me, but I don't think she's noticed yet!) She is a cheerleader, runs track, and is very musical!! She is a very sweet girl! Dillon is 10 and is quite the character! He is very funny and smart! He is in our Talented and Gifted program, plays basketball, baseball, and TALKS constantly (I have no idea where he gets it from!)Brennan is 4 and reminds me of myself (gosh hope I survive the teen years!) She's very witty, and thinks she knows it all. :) She has to act tough with her older brother (who thinks he knows it all, too!) There are all three the light of our lives and we wouldn't change a thing!!

We have 4 horses, 5 dogs, 3 cats, fish.....I think that about covers it!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!! Take Care~ Sara

Lisa Hollis Garro
From high school, I attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. While there, I met Dave Garro to whom I married in 1988. We lived and worked in Jefferson City for a few years but after my mom passed away, we decided to buy the old farm house in Vienna. The old house needed a lot of work (and still does) but it's not everyday that someone can say they live in the house where they grew up.

It's great living back here. Although there isn't much to see or do around here, we are always on the go with school, sports and community events. I frequently see classmates around town or at school. It makes me feel like I have this other little family on the side. I always felt our class had a special sort of bond with each other.

We have three daughters, Rebecca born in 1992 and Rachel born in 2000 and Nora born in 2005. I am currently enrolled in college at Columbia College trying to finish my BA. I am also working toward obtaining a teaching certificate and from there continuing with a masters in Library Media. I've been substitute teaching some and really enjoy doing that. I know probably half the kids in each class because I either went to school with their parent(s) or they are related to me. They are usually surprised when I call them by name. They want to know how I know them which brings on a barrage of questions. "Where did you go to school?", "Who else are you related to?", "What year did you graduate?", etc. It brings on a lot of fun memories when I'm in the old high school. It won't be there much longer so if you haven't been there in awhile, make sure you drop in for a quick trip down memory lane and take lots of pictures. Who knows, you might even get a tour of the new school. They are hoping to be in the new school after Thanksgiving break so hurry! In my spare time, I like to scrapbook (I'm also a Creative Memories Independent Consultant), make crafts and fiddle around on the computer.

Rhonda Humphrey Wilks
Since high school, I moved to St. Louis and began my employment with the State of Missouri - Department of Correction/Board of Probation and Parole. I married Chuck Hodapp in 1985, we lived in St. Louis, then Jefferson City where I also transferred with Probation and Parole. In 1887, we moved to Vienna (across from school) and then began our family in 2-89 when Chad was born. We moved to Argyle (needed more room) then bought his Great Aunt and Uncle's farm on the Gasconade in 93/94 and moved there - it was GREAT. We had our second son, Preston in 9-93. Chuck and I divorced in 12-96 and Preston (youngest) and I moved back by my family and also transferred my job to the Rolla Probation and Parole office, where I will remain FOREVER as it is 5 minutes from my home. Yes, as you can tell from my last name, I remarried in 7-02 to Terry Wilks who is a WONDERFUL friend, husband and father. Terry is a therapist and let me tell you, it's GREAT to have one of those on hand 24/7 - not that I EVER need counseling - hahahahaha. We have a GREAT life together. When Terry and I got married, I gained a 5 year old step-daughter and two step sons. Chad, my oldest lives with his dad on the farm and I see him some (not as often as I would like) and he is still VERY active in the rodeo circuits and has won All Around Cowboy several years. Preston is going to be my scholar and wants to be a surgeont (surgeon) when he grows up - he's a deal and quite the considerate/caring young man - mom is EXTREMELY proud! Kayla will begin her education this Fall - anxiously awaiting all the excitement of that "BIG DAY". Terry and I both enjoy working outside, and cooking. We are extending our deck, built a garage and are going to add an addition on to our house - therefore, we will NEVER have a dull/boring day ahead - 11 more years for my RETIREMENT!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that I'm counting. Although if Preston truly wants to be a surgeon, it will be WAY over 11 years away :) - I will expect a new car on Mother's Day after that though - so, hey it's like an investment right?

That's pretty much it so now you know, . . . . . .. THE REST OF THE STORY!

Take care and see everyone soon.

MARRIED: Roger Schulte 9/28/1985

CHILDREN: Tabitha Lyn 11/6/1987 and Emma Kathleen 9/28/1998

OCCUPATION: Both self-employed for the past 16 years

MILES FROM VHS: 15 miles

Roger and I are still operating our frozen pizza manufacturing plant here in Vienna. We are currently constructing a new building at the Vienna Industrial Park on Hwy V and hope to move our business there before the end of August 2004.

We live and breathe our business. Roger is extremely busy! He makes all the deliveries and is our only salesman. I am in charge of pizza production, managing employees and just about everything else. Especially if it's paperwork related! (Roger hates paperwork. I don't mind it, if you can believe that because you know I hated doing my school work!)

But the most important thing is... our family! Tabitha, who'll be a Junior this fall at Maries R-1, is 16 and driving her car everywhere. And if you ask, she'll tell you "Mom & Dad didn't buy me a car", she works hard at the Vienna Drive-In to pay for it! Emma is 5 and idolizes her big sissy. She just lost her first tooth, loves swimming at her grandparents house and is very excited about starting Kindergarten this fall at Maries R-1.

We still live in Brinktown about a mile down the road from my Mom & Dad. We enjoy visiting them almost every day. Roger's parents still live in Argyle and we visit them often too. My brother, Kenny, lives about midway between my parents house and ours. He has four children, 2 sons & 2 daughters. My sister, Mendy, lives south of Vienna on Hwy 63 and she has 3 daughters. We enjoy visiting all of them and feel blessed to have our family so close around us.

I regularly see some of my classmates around town too. Lisa Garro, Tom Parker, Tammy & Darren Eads, Donna Rollins, Glenn Fick, just to name a few. I am glad so many classmates have chosen to make Vienna and the surrounding communities their home!
